 Every year AREPA is called out to deal with different types of contamination, which occur very rarely but never the less can be very serious. Examples such as contamination by:
- Sulphur - Ammonia - Nitric acid - Chloride - Hydrochloric acid - Phosphoric acid
This type of contamination is normally caused by a direct release, unintentional chemical reactions or combustion of material.
Any First Aid effort related to this type of damage must be carried out by professionals with the right safety equipment and knowledge about chemical reactions. Data Sheets on the products must always be available.
