Lightning, over voltage and transients constitute latent risks of damage and fire in all electrical installations. This is especially the case with CNC and PLC controls, data, computer, communication and telecommunication equipment. Similarly, all industrial processes will produce impurities in the form of dust, oil, grease, soot, and chemical pollution, which will eventually form layers on and in the production equipment.
