What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Being part of a group whose values align with mine is important to me. While there are cultural differences in our global company, there are also very clear-shared objectives every single AREPA colleague I have met shares. The key is that we always work as a team where every member has their own expertise to bring to the table, and is respected for that. Equally important is that we all agree our main goal is to bring clients positive value with our solutions.
While my current role is not directly customer facing, I find it most rewarding to see our achievements; whether these are the successful reconditioning of irreplaceable equipment, the identification of a major hazard during an electrical safety inspection, or hearing how a distressed client was set at rest when our technicians reassured them their livelihood would be saved!
Knowing in my role that I contribute in making sure we do all that in a safe, consistent and still human-centered manner is also rewarding in itself.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Everyone comes to work with the expectation that their contribution to the mission of the company will be appreciated, but also that what they do makes a difference and that their ideas for improvement will lead to better results and a better work environment. My job is especially rewarding when I can see people get that out of their jobs. When I clear away problems, or even better, help people find ways to clear away their own problems and achieve goals, I feel like we are building a stronger team, a clearer mission, and a more successful organization.
I also find it rewarding to help people define and meet their own career goals, adding skills, getting opportunities to try things, find resources for learning, and test their intuition.
What are the values that drive you?
I value what groups of people can accomplish working together. Individuals who are all out for themselves tend to self-create systems of chaos and gradual decline of value. Groups who implement a shared vision, or even come together to compete under a common set of rules, drive a sense of purpose and build things that are much, much more sophisticated and impressive than single efforts. One look at the Panama Canal or the iPhone design shows how amazing team output is.
